Dagmar Zeromska is a Swedish mezzo soprano with Polish heritage. After graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, she moved to Germany, where she is currently working as a freelancing opera singer.

Born in Lund, Sweden, Dagmar started singing at the age of nine with Karin Fagius and later with Kerstin Grevelius. In 2009-10 she studied classical singing and piano at the Swedish college Vadstena Folkhögskola, where she gained a great appreciation for Swedish art song. She was then accepted directly into the second year of the Bachelor (Honours) programme at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, followed by a year on the Master programme. During her studies, Dagmar benefited from coaching sessions and master classes by acclaimed musicians such as Janet Williams, Laura Sarti, Sarah Walker, Adrian Thompson, Mary Hammond, Eugene Asti, Stephan Loges and Edith Wiens, amongst others.

In 2015, Dagmar took part in the Tête-à-Tête festival with the company workshOPERA in the newly-written opera Boys of Paradise (V. Salorian). She was also a cast member, dancer and soloist in the musical theatre productions Songs for a New World (J. R. Brown) and Chaplin (R. Anderson). Since she began singing, Dagmar has been a member of several choirs and ensembles with which she recorded CD albums, won international competitions and appeared on Radio and TV. 

Since moving to Germany, Dagmar has sung with the Berliner Operngruppe in a performance of Verdi's Giovanna d'Arco at the Konzerthaus Berlin, with Theater&Philharmonie Thüringen for their production of Enescu's Oedipe at the opera house in Gera, and is currently in the process of staging Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann with Passaggio Oper at the Pfefferberg Theater in Berlin (performances 7th - 10th June).

Previous opera productions and excepts include MENOTTI: The Consul (Secretary); MONTEVERDI: L'incoronazione di Poppea (Ottavia, Fortuna); DOVE: The Adventures of Pinocchio (Echo, chorus); HUMPERDINCK: Hansel and Gretel (Hansel); MASSENET: Cendrillon (Madame de la Haltière); ROSSINI: La Cenerentola (Tisbe); ROSSINI: Guglielmo Tell (Jemmy); MOZART: La Clemenza di Tito (Annio, Sesto); SMETANA: The Bartered Bride. Notable venues performed at include the Konzerthaus Berlin, Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Westminster Cathedral, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall.

 

Besides singing, Dagmar has a background in dancing and fashion modelling, which gave her valuable stage experience from a young age. She is also a Swedish language coach for actors and singers.
